Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College and Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College Academy of Professional courses jointly celebrated the 72nd Republic day with flair. The programme was dignified by the presence of the respected GS, Shri Tarun Bhattacharya and eminent faculty and staff members. The tri-colour was hoisted with the accompaniment of National Anthem. Prof. (Dr.) Pijush Pal Roy, Director, BCREC, in his Republic Day Address, highlited different achievements of the Institutions, during the Covid-19 pandemic period and said that since 15th March, 2020 to 25th January, 2021, BCREC could organize over 22,890 online classes, which was parallel to most national level institutions like IITs, NITs and others. Placement of students of 2020 batch was again an all time record for BCREC with 411 multiple offers and 292 single offers in different industries, despite unprecedented pandemic situation, which is simply outstanding. Around 80 Webinars were also conducted in the period involving faculty and students and there were participants even from abroad. He thanked the faculty, staff, placement team, PR Department and college management for all out support.
Prof.(Dr.) Saurabh Dutta, Principal, Academy of Professional Courses (APC), lauded all the members of the team to lead the Group of Institutions towards making it one of the best institutions in Eastern India.
