Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College and Group of Institutions pay Glowing Tributes to Dulal Mitra, the visionary leader on his 3rd Death Anniversary.
Both Fuljhore and Bidhannagar campuses of Dr. B. C. Roy Group of institutions wore a different look on 12th February 2021, morning, to pay heartfelt and respectful homage, to it's visionary founder president, late Dulal Mitra on his 3rd death anniversary.
Dulal Mitra was the leader of a team of young entrepreneurs who worked hard shoulder to shoulder for years to build a group of Technical and Management Institute that has earned distinctive eminence in far and near as well as all over the world. The Institution is 21 years now.
Floral tributes were paid by each member of faculty, staff, officials and the college management. All the four institutions, Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College (BCREC), Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College Academy of Professional Courses (APC), Dr. B. C. Roy College of Pharmacy and AHS (BCRCP) and Dr. B. C. Roy Polytechnic (BCRP) were involved. Jernail Singh, Treasurer for the BCREC Group was present to pay his respectful homage and participate.
Tarun Bhattacharya, General Secretary of the entire group inspired the members of faculty to come forward with lots of technical research papers of a high standard as well as meaningful scientific projects involving students to enhance the level of the eminence of all the four colleges so that people were attracted to send their children to enjoy the BCREC group advantages.
Prof. (Dr.) Pijush Pal Roy, Director, BCREC set the tone through his invocation speech and appealed to all to contribute their best for the students and the institution as that will be showing true respect for this visionary academician, who gave his life for this.
Prof. (Dr.) Arunava Mookherjee, Principal, BCREC-APC, gave an intimate account of Dulal Mitra and his inimitable style of inspiring people to get involved in the teaching-learning process.
Prof. (Dr.) Subrata Chakraborty, Director, Dr. B. C.Roy College of Pharmacy and AHS (BCRCP) paid his tribute in a unique way and said Dulal Mitra was a great builder in every respect. Prof. (Dr.) Chandan Kumar Ghosh, Principal, Dr. B. C.Roy Polytechnic said that his contribution was so fundamental that it would win the test of time.
Prof. (Dr.) Shubhabrata Roy, Principal, Dr. B. C. Roy College of Pharmacy and AHS (BCRCP) said, his penchant for quality and perfection was exemplary and that helped us to reach our goal. Dr. Alok Kahali, Head(Admin) said that the inspiration of Dulal Mitra led him to attempt for Ph.D and he earned the success.
On behalf of the entire organisation, Amitava Chakraborty, Chief of Corporate Affairs, who worked over twelve years with this great visionary leader, said building institutions in a perfect way was in his DNA as his father was also an eminent builder in Bolpur and was instrumental in building lots of projects in Birbhum district. He also proposed to think about the idea of introducing Dulal Mitra Memorial Lecture on an annual basis with participation by a great academician from the field of Technology or Management and this may be in the best interest of this group of institutions and people at large and undoubtedly the best tribute to this visionary academician.
Musical presentations by faculty and staff in both the programs were simply splendid.
